Tasting Notes :
A bright ruby colour lends to the perfectly blended Cabernet Sauvignon , Cabernet Franc and Merlot and the wine has lots of Blackcurrant, cassis, chocolate notes followed on by unmistakable minerality. The Merlot adds the red fruit component and softens the wine.
The palate is appealing with plush fruit, sophisticated concentration, silky tannins and a super long finish.
Food Pairing: Enjoy with medium rare fillet steak with a creamy mushroom and black pepper sauce.
Produced from the grapes grown in the Darling, Stellenbosch and Constantia Valleys, barrel fermented and matured for 15 months and made at Steenberg Cellars in the Constantia Wine Valley.
Drink now or cellar it for 5 to 8 years.
